WHAT IS OUR PURPOSE?
After many iterations, some so broad we were not sure what they meant, others so narrow that we wanted to say, 'What's the point?', our true purpose unveiled itself:
To give those impacted by mental health challenges an anchor, a future, and a hope in the Lord Jesus Christ.
The scripture that supports our purpose is Psalm 50:15
Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.
A nonprofit that practices obedience to the Lord while serving His people who suffer from mental health challenges.
Now, some may choke on this vision statement, but obedience is more important than another lofty statement discussing global dominance. As a faith-based non-profit, D.R.E's future has to be established by the Lord.
The scripture that supports our vision is 2 Corinthians 8:10-11
And in this I give advice: It is to your advantage not only to be doing what you began and were desiring to do a year ago but now you also must complete the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to desire it, so there also may be a completion out of what you have.
Companies often look toward core values to define their cultures, but D.R.E. believes it's more than a company. We espouse thoughts, values, and beliefs that are from the Lord. D.R.E. commits to employ all of the following as action verbs. We will "actionfy," not a word but we like it, the following:
Faithfulness (Jeremiah 39:18)
Truth (Psalm 25:5)
Peacefulness (Psalm 29:11)
Righteousness (1 Peter 3:12)
Compassion (Psalm 145:9)
Joy (Nehemiah 8:10)
Long-suffering (Galatians 3:12)
Tender Mercies (Psalm 145:9)
Kindness (Isaiah 54:10)
Humility (Philippians 3:3-9)
Meekness (Psalm 37:11)
Obedience (Galatians 6:2-10)
